In a monumental journey that echoed through the heart of India, Dr. Amjadkhan Nadim Shaikh of Gurgaon, Haryana, has etched his name into the Talent Record Book by accomplishing the World Record for the Longest Bike Ride for the Demand of Men’s Commission and Road Safety Awareness. This historic ride, organized by Men Welfare Trust and supported by the Save Indian Family Movement along with over 40 NGOs nationwide, marks a defining moment in India’s advocacy for men’s rights and road safety.
Starting from Faridabad on 31st May 2025 and concluding in Delhi on 6th July 2025, Dr. Shaikh led an awe-inspiring ride that covered over 16,000 kilometers in just 37 days. As the journey unfolded, bikers from every corner of the country joined in solidarity at various checkpoints, pushing the collective distance beyond 25,000 kilometers, including the unforgiving terrain of the Ladakh circuits—a true test of endurance and unity.
As the proverb goes, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step,” and in this case, a journey of thousands of miles began with a powerful mission—to bring attention to the critical issues plaguing Indian men today. Every 1.5 minutes, a man loses his life in a road accident. Every 4.5 minutes, another dies by suicide. And every 6.5 minutes, a married man succumbs to domestic distress. These harrowing statistics are not just numbers—they are a call for urgent action.
This ride wasn’t merely about the miles traveled, but about the millions of voices it amplified. With roaring engines and resolute hearts, the bikers carried messages of road safety, male mental health, domestic challenges faced by men, and the misuse of gender-biased laws. Most importantly, it was a passionate demand for the establishment of a National Men’s Commission—a long-overdue institution to safeguard the rights and dignity of men in India.
In the spirit of the saying, “No man stands so tall as when he stoops to help another,” Dr. Shaikh’s mission has not only raised awareness but has sparked a nationwide conversation. This record-breaking ride is more than an achievement—it is a revolution on wheels, calling for fairness, safety, and recognition for half the population that remains unheard too often.
Let this record stand as a beacon of hope, courage, and advocacy. As another saying goes, “The road to justice is long, but it bends towards truth.” And with leaders like Dr. Amjadkhan Nadim Shaikh paving the path, that truth is now riding strong across the roads of India.
